The Penobscot Bay Orchestra begins its 6th season, following an impressive start in 2021. The orchestra has been using the arts to stimulate and advance compassionate involvement in significant social issues, and has given over $5,000 in audience donations to the United Midcoast Charities, The Landing Place - Knox County Homeless Coalition, Healthy Lincoln County, the Camden Area Christian Food Pantry., Interfaith Fuel Fund, Habitat for Humanity, and Waldo County Bounty. We are now turning our attention to creating musical opportunities for our rural youth.
The orchestra's December concerts included music of Tchaikovsky, Dvorak, Dohnanyi and a special flute concerto by our youth scholarship winner Miles Ortiz-Curtis.. The Camden concert was sponsored in part by First National Bank. For a list of the repertoire we have performed., click on the Repertoire link.
